Playing catch-up! Telly quiz host Henry Kelly goes for gold with The Road

DAYTIME tellyย legend Henry Kellyย was over theย moonย after The Roadย left Wandering Herd “playing catch-up”ย on Hampstead Heath.

The veteran presenter of quiz show Goingย for Gold had a drink with the lads after the match – and was desperate to become the latest celeb to don the famous orange cap.

Cricket fan Kelly – whose catchphrase was “What am I?” – also broke the news to the players that Ravi Bopara has been called upย by England forย the third Test versus India at Edgbaston this week.

The plain-speaking Irishmanย exclusivelyย revealed toย The Roadย that Bopara’s call up was a mistake, suggesting Leicestershire’s in-form James Taylor was a safer bet.

When quizzed, Kelly, 65,ย said: “The other month I was playing a charity match with Shane Warne and Graham Hick.

“Warne said that Hick was the best batsmen that he faced, but didn’t have the head for international cricket. The same is with Bopara.”

Kelly shared a drink withย theย teamย after they reined in the Wandering Herd in a rain soaked Hampstead.
