TODAY South London’s most famous cricket team is sporting its new range of orange polo shirts as it hopes to complete an historic orangewash over bitter rivals the Battersea Badgers.
Having beaten the olde enemy twice this summer – both in a 40 over match in June and a Twenty20 in July – the two sides will clash again in the annual two-day Super Test this weekend.
With the bell ringing for the grudge match at 11am, King’s Road will arrive at Dundonald Rec in Wimbledon decked out in their fetching new gear ordered specially for the occasion.
Emblazoned with the words “K.R.C.S.C. 2014 South London Ashes Winners” and modelled here by Dan Sherman, the shirts are designed to really rub it into those poor Badger faces.
Let’s hope the Super Test XI complete the job and make this summer the summer of orange.
