THIS is the sight that will strike fear into The Road’s rivals – the boys out in force practising for the start of the season.

The team, led by new skip Giles Fagan, gathered for their weekly outdoor net at Clapham Common on Sunday afternoon.

Speedster James Couldrey  looked back to his best and Michael Rossi, Amir Alipour, Leon Watson and captain Gilo were all in good form.

Next up The Road go to Dulwich College on Wednesday to continue preparations for the 2011 season.

  1. I played that one far too early as you can see. The ball is actually on it’s way towards the stumps, although it could look like I hit it. Damn that Amir and his deceptively slow bowling! He’s too good – must be all that Oval coaching
