The teams have been drawn up for what is promising to be another exciting Kings Road Intra-Club.

This year the traditional curtain raiser for the season will be held at Wandsworth Common on Sunday, April 26.

Last year’s skipper Mark Isham, will take on the 2015 captain Matt Small, in a battle of brain, brawn and cricketing prowess.

The two met to draw up their teams on Monday night.

Matt will lead a team comprising of James Couldrey, Matthew Glover, Elliott Small, Chris Brown, John Malsingh, Raju Mazumder, Michael Rossi, Chris Beckett, Sam Lavender and Lomas Persad.

Isham’s team contains Imran Peratta, Sam Bilson, Chris MacNicol, Joe Conway, Kevin Pittaway, Lewis Robinson, Adam Zabel, Sham de Silva, Daniel Sherman and A N Other.

Both sides share a mixture of seasoned old hands and newcomers playing their first match for The Road.

In addition, this season will see a record broken, with Couldrey and Sherman on separate teams, both of whom have a 100% win record in Intra-Clubs.

2014’s equivalent was contested between Isham and Matthew Cocken, with the former winning after a thrilling super-over.
