Gilo named new King’s Road skip for 2011

GOLDEN oldie Giles Fagan is the new King’s Road captain after members chose him to lead the club into battle this season.

The newly-married actor, aged 30 something, takes over from last year’s skip Matt Cocken having beaten the big Northerner by 15 votes to six.

The result was announced today at the King’s Road club AGM held at The Draft House, Battersea.

Giles, who took over from Matt as chairman last year when he was appointed captain, stood down from his committee role to take up the reigns.

He has been replaced by James Couldrey, who takes over the chairmanship for 2011 in his first outing on the committee.

Kevin Pittaway stood down as club treasurer and took up the job of replacing Jamie Keating as social secretary.

Newboy Richard Peralta was voted the club’s new treasurer as well as tour manager.

Club stalwart Raju Mazumder also stood down as fixtures secretary next year and will be replaced by rookie Dan Sherman.

Leon Watson remains website editor.
