Legend joins up: Michael Atherton says we need to chalk up a win

CRICKET legend Mike Atherton has revealed he’s got NO IDEA how to stop the rot at The Road.

The ex England skipper was asked for his expert opinion on what King’s Road need to do to turn their season around.

The Road have lost nine on the trot this season and need to chalk up a win soon to boost morale.

But, after serious thought, Athers told KRCSC News: “God knows! I’ve got no idea, maybe I’m not the best person to ask.”

Atherton did show his support by holding the club’s famous orange cap aloft on Wednesday after meeting up with all-rounder Leon Watson.

He is the latest big name to show support for King’s Road and wished them “good luck” for their next match.

Stars from the world of showbiz, including Tubes from Soccer AM, The Wire actor Idris Elba and SAS hero Andy McNabb, have also come out in support of the Orange Caps.

And the man who’s England’s current captain, Andrew Strauss, also wished us well for the season.
